Seas the Connection is a community-based support organization based in the Tampa Bay area where ALL mothers of adoptive and foster children are welcome. We seek to serve fellow foster and adoptive moms by providing respite retreats in the Tampa Bay area and beyond!

How did STC begin and what should I expect?

Our roots are in Florida, and we as women and moms recognize the healing power of the sea for both mental and emotional care. Seas The Connection was inspired by our original venue, Little Harbor Resort in Ruskin, Florida for its seaside atmosphere and resort amenities as we believe this type of location best meets our goal of providing foster and adoptive moms with the most relaxing and connecting weekend ever! As we expand into a variety of states, every venue we choose carries our goals of providing a relaxing waterfront atmosphere to the moms we serve.

Unlike most adoptive parent retreats and conventions, STC is a casual, informal, Air BnB-type girls weekend, resting and connecting with other adoptive and foster moms who understand your life. An inspirational adoptive mom guest and speaker will join us as a valuable resource, while we spend extended time together and sharing our stories.

Seas the Connection was created with you in mind! No matter what you need to recharge and relax, you are welcome to here. There are no obligations for to be anywhere or do anything. We provide you with a relaxing atmosphere, fabulous speaker, delicious food, mom connections and all the peace you can imagine.

Come join us for our most exciting retreat ever! As we celebrate our 8th year together at STC Florida, we are embarking on of new adventure, Central Florida! The Blue Paradise Villa is packed full of adventure with its massive 15 bedrooms, a chef’s kitchen. a large meeting area, a private pool and whirlpool within a resort neighborhood! A short distance the Walt Disney World Resorts, this retreat is sure to have something for everyone from the lazy river to the Disney theme parks. All of this is addition to Stacey Gagnon of Trauma Lens Care and Shay Richardson, an adoptee, adoptive mom and social worker. 

REMINDER: If you chose to pay only Venue Registration at the time of initial registration ,Conference Registration ($195) must be paid on or before January 1, 2026

Optional Transportation Fee of $50 to and from the Orlando (MCO) or Sanford, FL (SFB) Airport  and the Venue.
