Jan Brooks
Jan Brooks is an Idaho native, but has spent the majority of her life in Washington state in the beautiful town of Gig Harbor. She is a mother of five adult children and has four grandchildren with one on the way. Jan adopted her three daughters from China and raised them to love the Lord. Her marriage of 44 years ended recently because of her ex-husband’s involvement in a Tennessee cult. In addition, Jan has experienced tremendous pain because of parental alienation by her children due to the influences of the cult on her children.
Yet, Jan is a survivor! Her faith in God’s promises has helped her survive the impossible. You will love her upbeat personality, wit and wisdom as she shares the joy and peace in the beauty of everyday living and her hope for eternity.

Jessica Johnson
Returning to the STC team, Jessica Johnson is a coach who helps adoptive moms gain more parenting confidence, build deeper connections with their children and breakthrough behavioral challenges so they can experience more joy in life.
Jessica adopted a sibling group of three girls from Ethiopia in 2012. Her personal parenting experiences have given her a deeper understanding of the toll that stress can take on the body, as well as insight into how a parent’s own upbringing shapes their attachment bond with their child. Jessica founded her business “Root and Revive Wellness” with a vision of equipping and providing holistic support for adoptive moms.
Jessica grew up in a log cabin in the woods that her father built. She lives in the Pacific Northwest and loves anything outdoors: backpacking, cross country skiing and paddleboarding.
